Eloise at 8 Months

Where did the last month go? That is what asking the question "where did the day go?" each evening for about 30 days straight gets you : ) It has been a busy & fun start to the year for Eloise with more things to giggle about everyday.  I wonder if she feels like the days go quickly....probably with all those long naps she enjoys! Honestly, not a whole lot has changed in her life over the past month other than the fact that she gets more adorable every minute...

We had some one on one time together this afternoon & she was in such a delightful mood I had to pull out the camera & capture her cuteness. Here are a few of the hilarious faces that make me think she might have a career in comedy.

and my favorite...BY A LONG SHOT....

What this silly girl is up to other than entertaining the camera:
  • eating more solid food than I thought an 8 month old could eat, still very impatient between bites
  • loves to be sung to whether it is happy music where she bounces or slow, sweet songs for cuddling
  • content as can be if you sit her with a basket of play food to examine & "taste test"
  • puts hands together when you start clapping & encourage her to clap along
  • pulls forward onto a knee from sitting position but crashes forward onto her chest & screams until rescued by me or screams even more if Charlotte tries to help her
  • a quick fix for any fussiness- BATH TIME! Cheers the little lady right up
  • slightly sensitive to the dogs barking, it sometimes makes her cry but never wakes her up
  • reminds me on a weekly basis to trim her nails by clawing skin off her face
  • is a grabby mcgrabberson as we call her
  • is saying mamamama alot more, usually when she is sleepy, hungry or annoyed by what her sissy is doing to her
  • thinks she is pretty darn cute when you hold her up to the mirror...she's right ; )

precious from head to toe
She is nursing around 7:30, 10:45, 2:45, 5:45 & 7:30. It works better for us to have that 5th feeding in & do her bedtime feed after 7pm so she will sleep later in the morning.  She eats an oats/brown rice porridge with a fruit mix in for breakfast, cottage cheese or yogurt with a veggie for lunch & dinner is either a veggie combo & a fruit combo or a specialty dish.  The newest & favorite is a sweet potato, apple & chicken dish.  It seriously smells delicious. It was one that Char really enjoyed as well.  Our new foods this month: cottage cheese, peaches, strawberries, chicken, carrots & blueberries. She hasn't met a food she doesn't like.  She has attempted to eat a cheerio or two & is quick to pick it up but is not so sure what to do with it once it is in her mouth.

sweet little dimple

Snoozing has been more plentiful in our home the past couple weeks praise the LORD! I wish I could say that I knew what was causing that to take place so we could continue feeling rested but I don't so I would say it is just the Lord being merciful to this tired mama that needs rest to survive : ) Eloise is napping around 9-10:45, 12:15-2:30 & 4:30-5:30 then sleeping from 7:45-7:30 or 8 some days. She mostly sleeps on her side but lately we have been finding her on her tummy. The girls are doing really well sleeping in the same room & rarely wake each other up. I thought it would be much more difficult than it has turned out to be. You can tell that Elo is getting sleepy when she assumes the pose pictured below....

It looks like she is going to suck on her arm but if her arm is pulled away, she is actually sucking on her bottom lip
And if you haven't had enough of her yet with all the photos.....
