We took a trek over to a nearby park for the monumental "first swing" last Friday. It was me & the fab four which always has the potential for lots of excitement! We planned to go to the park about 1/4 mile down the road at our clubhouse but when we pulled up, the gate was down & I didn't have the pass to enter. I was already on a bit of a rampage running on short spurts of sleep the night before & skipping breakfast. I felt like ramming the gate with my car but decided to back up & leave instead. I couldn't contain my frustration & yelled that the gate was stupid & so was the clubhouse. Definite shining moment as the girls watched wide eyed from the backseat ; ) We talked about my shortcomings later that day but sadly only because Charlotte brought it up asking the mature question "Mommy, what do you think you were mad at earlier? The gate?" Ha! I love her & her little mind. All that to say, our quick trip to swing with no diaper bag in tow turned into a 15 minute drive over to another park.
It was worth all the frustration to see these two looking SO big in a swing with the big sisters proudly pushing them.....

They aren't the only Valentines that enjoy a ride on the swing...
This girl has been known to fall asleep while being pushed "to the moon." She gets so relaxed & enjoys the ride! This park has a lot to offer that fits the girls abilities just right. They rarely pose for a picture together so I was excited to catch them smiling on the dinosaur!
Happy days ahead at the park for this crew!
